Sundance, & the Vore Buffalo Jump

One of the most important archaeological sites of the late-prehistoric Plains Indians. The Vore site is a natural sinkhole that was used as a bison trap from about 1500 to 1800 A.D. At least five different tribes used the Vore site during 300 years and at least 10,000 bison were trapped (poor things)

Sundance: nestled in the Black Hills of Wyoming, is a picturesque, small town , firmly grounded in history. Although not much to see this time of year It's a town you've got to see. named after the famous 'Sun Dance' of the Native American. (Phew so hot!)
